Application Instructions

Items Needed:

  • Masking Tape
  • Measuring Tape or Ruler

Wall art will come in rolls because of length. Unwrap the wall art and let it sit flat until it stops wanting to roll itself up. Once the sheet is flat, lay it on a flat surface with paper side up and smooth out the surface to ensure the vinyl is sticking to the transfer paper.

  1. Clean surface with a damp cloth.
  2. Use a tape measure or ruler to determine the exact position where the quote will be placed.
  3. Use masking tape to attach the quote to the wall to ensure the quote stays in place.
  4. Flip vinyl upside down and carefully peel backing (the white shiny paper) away from the quote.
  5. Once the backing is removed, carefully lay it onto the wall. Note: If vinyl is large, it works best to remove half of the backing and applying that half of vinyl to the wall before removing the rest of the backing.
  6. Smooth out vinyl, removing any air bubbles.
  7. Slowly remove the cover sheet, making sure the letters adhere to the wall.
  8. After cover sheet it removed, rub vinyl on wall with your finger.

How to Remove Your Artwork

When you are ready to replace your vinyl, simply heat it with a hair dryer and peel it off.

Disclaimer

Please Note: 7th Avenue vinyl lettering does not contain a background, only the actual letters adhered to your wall. Vinyl lettering can be applied to most non-porous smooth or semi-smooth surfaces. You may find some difficulty applying vinyl lettering to porous or chalk-like surfaces, such as stone, and painted surfaces in which flat paint was used, or heavily textured walls. Decals are not recommended for use on VOC Free paint, but work best on smooth enamel painted walls that have been allowed to cure for at least three weeks. 7th Avenue is not responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting for the use or inability to use this product
